HELP FOR EVENT FILTER:
The MisCon Event Filter allows you to hide events that do not match criteria set by yourself as you surf the site. Once you set your Event Filter settings, they remain on, acting to "filter out" events that do not match your criteria on every MisCon page you view thereafter.
As an example, you could set your filter to shown only events in Massachusetts. From that point on, all the lists of events that are shown to you around the site will only show events in Massachusetts. This setting will stay on until you either turn it off (by returning to this page, unchecking all the boxes, and hitting submit), or leave the website for more than 30 minutes.
Alternately, you can select the "save this setting on my computer" option, which will place a small cookie on your computer so that the website can recognize you when you return. This allows the website to apply your settings every time you visit the Mission Control website. This is only recommended for "power users" that use the site frequently from a dedicated personal computer. Please note that only filter setting information is stored in this cookie, and that it is not used to track you in any way.
Some pages automatically over-ride some or all of your filter settings because they would violate that page's established rules. These are the "All Pages" and "All Clubs" pages, as well as any of the Advanced Event Search pages.
Some events are posted on the MisCon site without any information in the specific area that you are searching. These events are always included in your search results. As an example, if you set the filter to only show events taking place in Massachusetts, you will see all the events that are taking place in Massachusetts plus all the events that currently have no location information. This allows you to see, and perhaps recognize, events that will likely be in your selected region.
WHEN IN DOUBT, TURN THE FILTER OFF. This is accomplished by unchecking all of the boxes on this page and then hitting the submit button. If you had previously checked "Save this setting on my computer," leave it checked before hitting the submit button.
